Helen Burns – I grew up in Bound Brook, and have been married since 1990. My husband (the local Fire Chief) and I live in a historic home in Piscataway, along with our cat, Buster.
I attended Chubb Institute to learn computer programming, and spent many years working for large corporations. During all those years of working at a desk job, my weight was steadily creeping up, so I joined Curves in the spring of 2007. I began seeing results after just a few weeks, and when I found out there was an opening, I applied for the job.
My husband and I own several pieces of antique fire apparatus—some motorized, and many that are hand operated. We display this equipment at several shows every summer, at various locations around the state. We are also actively involved with the Metlar-Bodine House (the local history museum).
In recent years I’ve begun researching my family tree, tracing one branch back to the early 1800’s. I haven’t found any scandals yet, but I’m still searching! |
